Mr. Serge-Hugues Ouimet is a chartered professional accountant (CPA, CA) with over 40 years experience in tax matters, such as planning for corporations, trusts, non-residents and individuals. He advises his clients regarding GST/QST and on other tax matters and is also involved in advising new clients about preparing a voluntary disclosure to regulate their tax situations.

Mr. Ouimet is recognized as someone who can find a practical solution to solve most complex tax issues and who will bring you peace of mind.

Mr. Ouimet has been a guest speaker at the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF), a tax organization for tax specialists. He has also presented many tax matters to clients and to other business organizations.

Jiamin is a partner of our firm since January 1st, 2018.

She obtained a Master’s degree in taxation law (LL.M. Fisc.) from HEC Montréal. Before her arrival in Canada, she obtained a Master 2 in taxation law in France and a bachelor of taxation in China.

“Do it well, or never do.” This motto has continuously guided her in her professional life.

Since joining our team in February 2012, she has been providing specialized and prompt services in tax consulting, tax planning and Canadian tax compliance for individuals, corporations, estates and non-residents. Her hands-on approach and sharp critical sense allow her to efficiently deal with the tax authorities on behalf of her clients.

Jiamin has developed various fields of expertise including the process for voluntary disclosure, the request for certificates of compliance for non-residents and the analysis on the tax implications for emigrants / immigrants. She is anxious to help her clients in solving their tax issues with a result-oriented strategic plan.

She can offer consulting services in French, English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese). She is an active member of the Association de planification fiscale et financière (“APFF”) and of the Canadian Tax Foundation (“CTF”).

Stéphanie Beauséjour, D.E.S.S. Fisc.

After completing the CPA, CGA Professional Practice Program and the D.E.S.S. in Taxation Law concurrently, Stéphanie Beauséjour started working in tax in April 2014. She has participated in a variety of projects including corporate reorganizations, estate-freeze tax planning and post-mortem tax planning before joining our team in October 2015, ready to meet new challenges.

After becoming a full-pledged CPA, CGA member in 2017, Stéphanie rapidly demonstrated her potential and was promoted to Senior tax advisor after only one year with our firm and recently as a Tax Director in October 2018.

Stéphanie has the ability to communicate efficiently both in French and in English and she has developed a specialty in negotiating with the government agencies in the context of a voluntary disclosure, of objections to an assessment and for any other tax issue arising between the taxpayers and the governments.

Fanny Lafontaine St-Jean

Always looking for new challenges, Fanny Lafontaine-St-Jean is registered to the Master in Taxation program at HEC Montreal and she is working at the same time to enhance her practical knowledge in taxation. In September 2018, she wrote and succeeded her final exam to become CPA and she expects to obtain her CPA title within the next 2 years.

Fanny is constantly stimulated when she faces complex situations, since there is nothing better than improving her technical knowledge in the field of work she loves. Finally, she offers her services in both French and English.

Pierre-Luc Falardeau
Stagière en fiscalité

En janvier 2018, Pierre-Luc Falardeau s’est joint à l’équipe fiscale de Ouimet Zhang Inc., à titre de stagiaire. Il détient un D.E.S.S. en sciences comptables, option auditeur, et il a récemment réussi son examen final pour l’obtention du titre de CPA. Pierre-Luc a depuis grandement amélioré ses connaissances en fiscalité.

Auparavant, Pierre-Luc a développé une expérience comptable de diverses industries comme celles du golf, de la production télé et de l’organisation événementielle. Il se dit toujours prêt à apprendre davantage grâce à son désir de développement personnel continu.

En plus d’améliorer son apprentissage en fiscalité, Pierre-Luc façonne ses compétences de présentation et de communication auprès des différents intervenants avec qui il doit transiger, tant à l’interne qu’avec la clientèle et les gouvernements.

Jiawei Zhang graduated from a bachelor's degree in accounting from Guangdong University of Technology in China. She has 8 years of experience related to accounting and customer service.

Jiawei is a person attentive to details, can proactively balance tasks and priorities for the daily workloads and have them completed efficiently and accurately.

She enjoys providing the excellent service to our clients as being one of the new members of our team.
